An Ohio tattoo artist is in jail on charges that he raped a woman at gunpoint in his home.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says that Mario Rodriguez Ibarra, who is 22 years old, was arrested on Friday.
WBNS , a CBS station in Columbus, looked at the records and found that the alleged victim told police that she and Ibarra had talked on Facebook before she agreed to get a tattoo at his house.
According to the records, Ibarra and a male friend picked up the woman (who has not been named officially) from her home and drove her to Ibarra’s house. The report said that while she was in Ibarra’s bedroom, he reportedly pulled out a gun, took off her clothes, and raped her.
Police say the woman told them that Ibarra fell asleep, and that’s when she got dressed and left the house. Then, according to the WBNS story, she asked the male friend for help. The friend allegedly called the police and waited with the woman until they got there.
According to WBNS, the friend also told police that while he was waiting for the police to come, Ibarra went outside and admitted that he used a gun to force the woman to have sex with him.
He has been charged with rape and kidnapping, according to court reports. His first court appearance is set for Friday. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says that Ibarra is being held without bond.
